I was driving down near the studio, which is in downtown Houston, and saw this opening in an abandoned building. Looking into the dark interior I realized Hurricane Ike had given me a gift. Part of the building’s roof had collapsed, and there was this great light on that part, paired with the darkness of the rest of the building.

I did go in by myself and check the rest of the roof, and I stood on the part I’d was going to ask my model to stand on. Roxy was trouper and we snuck in past the spray painted No Trespassing sign for a few shots with the violin.
