Photographer I Must Be Dead

Photographer I Must Be Dead

This week we our Photographer Interview is with Mckay Jaffe, AKA I Must Be Dead, a creative conceptual photographer. I clicked on a link entitled Casual Sex and discovered a great artistic mind. He talks not about where his ideas come from, but what process he goes through creating these images. He also talks about how people reacted to his ideas when he started and how they react now given his work.

He has an interesting post-processing method that he discusses as well. He also has an interesting way of dealing with controversy and what he considers controversial.

Awesome interview by an awesome artist! McKay is one of my favourite photographers, probably THE favourite in fact, on deviantArt. I think I stumbled across him last year by clicking on one of his images, “Unusual Talents”, that immediately caught my eye on the homepage to dA when I logged in, and I was led into the wonderfully creative, funny, amazing mind that is McKay’s. His gallery just blew me away as well, and I eagerly look forward to every new piece he puts up!

I love McKay. He is one of the best up and coming photographers in my opinion. This interview was great. It asked all the questions I always wanted to. Long live I Must Be Dead!

Great interview! Really insightful. I’ve been a big fan of McKay’s for a while now- his photographs (and writing, even) never fail to stimulate the mind and impress grandly! He has a raw talent for concepts which is refreshing, as well as a vibrant use of colour and editing that puts a unique twist on all of his work. Can’t wait to see what he does next!

There isn’t a photographer that I would rather shoot with more. Not only is Mckay a creative genius but super amazing person. I’m glad people get to hear the voice behind the photos. I hope when I’m old and wrinkly I will still get to shoot with him.
