Let’s add some color as we move into the era of LSD. All this stuff was dug out of the magical prop room. Including the bubble machine and the gels for the light.
I actually talk about gelling the background in my upcoming pinup book and video. There is a red gel coloring the white wall here. More info tomorrow when you can see the whole thing.
Almost the same as yesterday, but the pose is a little different. One of the partners in my studio used to do product photography for a company that makes letter jackets, so we have a few hanging in the prop room.
Cute girl like Bella would of course have a beau who would give her his letter jacket.
The short poodle skirt was in the prop room. So were the shoes. Normally most of the clothes we shoot the model brings with her, but this time we were building as we went.
Bella showed up for the shoot in curlers and this image burst into my head. Most pinup is done on white, but this was part of a series and I didn’t want them all on white. So we grabbed a broom, and put her in this older outfit.
Hey, I didn’t name the costume or design it, so if you are Russian and offended I’m sorry. Of course I doubt any Russian photographers are offended by Stacey in this outfit. White Russian Costume
I was shooting Vanity in my favorite head shot location by our studio’s front door. She just cycled through some expressions. I especially like the “rock and roll” one.
The title comes from the model and I think it’s funny. We were shooing her in this red dress and heels. The chair and couch were in the images, and I go this strange idea.
Sometimes an image works because of color and line and I think this one works that way.
