I have this thing I do where the model is oiled and the light is gelled. I often refer to the image as a fitness because the oil brings out muscle definition by using the reflectivity of the skin.
Brit’s body begs to be shot this way, so of course I did.

I’m sure you are getting bored with Brit….OK, you better not be getting board with her. How can you even think such a thing.
Here’s three images of her in the little brown dress from last week, including another headshot.
I’ve kind of started thinking of this dress as the podcast dress because it is what Ellen is wearing in the podcast image. Surprisingly it looks fine on Britt, even though she is considerably shorter.

Brit is a very fit looking, very thin model. I learned a couple of things about shooting thin models during this shoot.
1). They look better in tight fitting clothing. I shot some images of her in a short flowy dress and she said something about her looking like she had chicken legs. I told her her legs were fine, but realized with the top of her body looking bigger than her legs, it did emphasize the thinness of her legs. When she was in something tight like the pink dress, or this outfit, her legs look like they should.
2). They don’t need to wear black. She almost looked too thin in this outfit.
Here I changed the background light to red because the outfit was black with red writing on it.

Here is another image of Model Britt in the studio’s pink dress. One thing to always remember as a photographer, when you pick one color in an image, you have to think about the other colors in the image. For instance once she was in the pink, any gelling of the background had to be in a complementary color. So I picked blue.
