iPad Portfolios
  • I know there was another thread about print portfolios, but I'm curious th know what other photographers like to use as an iPad portfolio app. I use the built in photos app and another one called Valise, but neither seem to do it for me. I'm a bit of an iOS programming hack (I wrote RadioPopper's JrX reference app) and have considered writing something myself, but haven't been through all the options to see if it would be redundant or not.

If you haven't found a portfolio app you like, what are some of the features you are missing?
  • I just use the built in photos app on my iPad. I have to say the iPad is a great portfolio device, people are just impressed when you hand it to them.

Haven't really tried any of the other apps, you'll have to let us know what you decided if you pick one.
  • There is also an iPad app for zenfolio users.
  • I use 6sslideshow, it is a manual slide show but has a lot more options for choosing slide shows. You download the shareware version and register it for 2.99. I'm thinking of getting Portfolio but the 14.99 is very high especially since the reviews state there have been bugs since it came out, although they do address the problems very quickly.
  • Just bought Portfolio for the Ipad and it is so easy to use I just set up a 75 picture shoot and added music in under 5 minutes and that was my first time.
  • Data Color just came out with a free app for the Ipad it uses your Spyder hardware to calibrate your Ipad. You have to use a propitiatory program but it's free.
