This is the same lighting set up as Best of 2010 #5, in front of the studio’s window on white sheets. But even closer. The model, Skye Greene, told me later that her mom even loved the picture. Guess she couldn’t tell how little Skye was wearing.
I taught Portraits and Headshots this year at the studio. I decided to use Janet – one of my favorite MUAs – because she is so photogenic when it comes to head shots. I wasn’t disappointed.
We interviewed Daniela Kenzie on the podcast right before she moved to Austin. I told her to connect with me when she got here – which she did. Then the studio booked her for a weekend workshop and I got to spend some one-on-one shooting time with her.
This is the soft natural light I call white glamour. It is beautiful feel, with subtle sexiness.
Ash Kay is a model I’ve shot with a few times, but not in a long time. So we got into the studio and produced some new stuff. This image is just cool.
I did the Dark Shower images a number of times over the last 2 years. Went from no light on the background to a white one to see the water to very saturated colors. I like the color a lot.
This on is special because the color is there, but the front light makes every rivlet of water on Niece’s body show up.
I’m going to show you some images of Zinn doing glamour nudes in a bath tub, but I wanted to keep the headshot theme for now. This image was of Zinn show in the bath tub.
Model: Zinn Star
Last month Zinn Star was in Houston and was the model for my studio’s workshop. She was great and I got together with her the next day to shoot some stuff. Don’t have those ready yet, but she did have a special request.
She had this shirt she wanted to have her picture in, but she kept forgetting to ask one of us photographers to shoot her in it. At the end of our shoot, after I’d put away all the lights, she’d signed the release, and she was packing up to leaving town, she found the shirt again. She was dispondant that she hadn’t gotten a shot of it.
So I pulled my camera back out of the bag, stuck the card back in it and shot these images in about 5 minutes using natural light in the studio door way.
