This is classic fashion. She’s even looking away from the camera.
To me all of these images lack crispness. Its a function of continuous lighting which just doesn’t freeze things like strobes do.

They say in fashion the model shouldn’t look at the camera. If that’s a hard rule then this ain’t fashion, but I think it is because what she’s wearing could be the focus.
It is a little european, in that they will allow nipples in their fashion magazines.
Since we were shooting under continuous lighting I thought I should try and catch some motion. We had her spin around and we tried to catch it. That’s always a tricky proposition and impossible with strobes. Here’s what I think is the best of that attempt.
One of the things about Animoto is you can take the exact same images and tell it to remix and get a totally different video. Here are two of images I shot of dance and model Brenda.
I didn’t like that one so well and hit the remix button. I did some changes and I was able to slow it down because I upgraded to Animoto for Photographers.
Valerie Whitaker is a nude and fashion model based out of New York City, but as you’ll learn in the video this today she is hardly ever there.
I shot with her twice a few weeks ago when she was in Houston. She was great and very experienced model. During our morning session I took these portraits of her. She’s so pretty. 🙂
This is probably the most clothes you are going to see her in this week.

We have a guitar at the studio. Babe is the manager of a band. The rest is obvious.

I wanted to shoot some outside the studio, so while she was in makeup I went outside to see what I could find. One thing I found was Babe’s red Ford Mustang. We took it around the corner and under a tree. Then popped the hood and took some images of her messing with the engine. She turn around for this shot, which I liked.

We were doing a rock and roll kind of thing and so I took Making Faces into the MUA and showed her a cool look. She redid Babe’s makeup to have these wild eyes. So I took my high key set up and through a blue gel on the background light to bring out her eyes.

This one was shot in the doorway of my studio. I will almost always shoot a headshot here if it is day light.
I had a shoot last month with Model Babe Kennedy and these are some of the images from that shoot.
Wanted to do a headshot/beauty shot. That high key look you see in cosmetic ads. I think I did it pretty well.
